First night out since Covid

Day 73 in quarantine… Well things have finally starting to lighten up here as of last week. Some restaurants have opened here in Vancouver with limited seating as well as some gyms are opening up and life seems to be slowly but surely getting back to normal.

This sparked a huge interest in my going out for dinner attire LOL

My Bestie and I got to enjoy a night out last Sunday! First time out since March 7! Man did it feel amazing!!!

I wore my two piece white suit with my new rhinestone studded heels pointed toe which are very in style for summer !

We got to share nachos, I ordered a veggie burger and fries, a bottle of wine and enjoy some people watching lol PERFECTO

It’s amazing the small things in life that make you happy when you really took for granted them before.
I’m not officially back to work as a medical aesthetician as of yet, however I have been going in and helping out with customer deliveries for their skin care products. This gives me the opportunity in which I dress up each day I get to go in for.
I absolutely love my brand new leopard print one piece! Fits beautifully and is so light and comfortable and easy to wear. Bonus Leopard print you can never go wrong with!
As I mentioned in my last blog definitely the 70s are making come back and stripes are in! Don’t overdo it though pick top or bottom but not both in my opinion.
I’ve had the bonus of still being able to train some clients for virtual WBFF fitness shows which has been so nice to keep! Helping motivate others always helps me keep on track myself. I’m back training with my coach Jean Jacques in which I will achieve my ultimate summer body for stage or just summer time depending on how Covid goes.
I also picked up this really cute lightweight olive green dress for spring. A good stable for nights on the patio!
So here’s to many more hopeful nights of enjoying times with friends and dressing up 🙂

How to get through quarantine.. Facetime photoshoot & chicken soup

44 days.. Yep I cant believe it! So what have you been doing with your time? Hmmmm well.. Im going to be super honest some days I have been so productive and others, well I don’t think I’ve had this much sleep in years put it that way lol!!

But here is the thing, its OK!! Nobody can recommend how you should feel or what you should or shouldn’t be doing with everything going on. No one has been though something like this before.

My biggest thing I can say to anyone on how to live life though this is this try and stay consistent. Try and keep on a routine. Put on your makeup, do your hair, exercise , prep meals try and keep some normal. If a lazy day comes along take it and just like staying on a diet or meal plan get back on your routine the next day and move on! Don’t dwell on it.

My first ever face time Photoshoot yep just as it sounds.. Factime is on with the phographer and shes shooting thought the phone!! How to social distance and create at its finest! We wanted to create light of the “Person working from home on quarantine ” LOL!! Comfy in my http://www.straptapparel.com shorts while looking like business as usual, little did the boss see wine in my mug on the desk instead of java hahah

Anyways that totally brighten my spirits and made my day the photographer the lovely Kate Jensen photography from Calgary alberta !! Shes fantastic ! You can check her work out here http://katejensenphotography.com

I know alot of you have been cooking and baking which is fantastic!! There are so many meals and desert ideas to chose from to make I sometimes just end up going back to the basics casue I know what works. I have been playing with my Ninja https://www.ninjakitchen.com/air-fryers/

Im not paid too say this I just love this thing so much! Chicken  seriously cooks like a dream!! 4 chicken breasts marinated in one of my favourite spice packs I follow on Instagram- Tasty!

12 minutes at 390 and the chicken are cooked to perfection , crispy on the out side and juicy on the inside! Add a side salad bam your done! I dont know why but I was craving chicken soup yesterday so I decided to look though my pantry and see what I could come up with.

Again one thing I have found about being on quarantine is that everything is being used in the pantry and Im creating dishes that are not only healthy and tasy  but are good on the pocket book. Here’s what I did for money saving healthy chicken soup!

  • With the chicken Brest I cooked up already I cut two pieces into small cubes
  • 2 containers of low soduim chicken broth
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 celery stock
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 4 tbs. Rosemary
  • 5 Bay leafs
  • 1 Cup Marconi noodles cooked
  • Sea Salt

Dice up veggies and add to large pot with butter . Brown veggies in butter. Add chicken, rosemary, chicken broth, bay leafs and sea salt. Let simmer for 15 mins. Add in macaroni noodles and simmer again for 10 mins. DONE!!! its sooo yummo!!

Anyways I hope you try it and let me know what you think! Dont get down on yourself, keep consistent and keep going!

Cookies, Spa bowls, motorcycles on Quarantine life

Day 33 Of Quarantine life…

I know like most, I have my good productive days and some days when I dont even get out of my pyjamas.  I really dont know how to feel or react and Im trying my best not to watch the news 24/7 just to keep a positive head space. Im not gonna go on and on about it because we are all in the same boat together but it definitely is hard some days!! I miss my family so much I miss hugging my friends and just the simple things like going fro a dinner or getting a coffee and sitting down to scroll through Instagram on my phone. This is all so minor in what is really going on out there and what other people are having to deal with my thoughts and prayers go out to you all that have lost someone in this time 🙁

So on a positive note I have started my posing/fitness page (Private group ) on Facebook where I have been posing workouts, posing tips and trying to keep everyone motivated 🙂 Please email me if you want to be added !! Love to have you!

I kept all the greens separate and brown rice beans and corn in a different dish that way when you build it, it will last longer! Top with a low fat Italian dressing and your done!!

Mrs.Cannon’s Quarantine Staples

How many days are we into this quarantine for now??? Feels like forever ugh!! But I don’t wanna dampen the the day any more, so I hope this can shed a little light into your next grocery shop.

I wanted to share a few staples that I have on my grocery list that I find super budget Friendly and is still high on the nutritional count! This little picture all added up comes to $105 Canadian but I can guarantee you it can get a few good meals out of it!

  • 1 Cup Oatmeal / 1 scoop Quattro protein powder http://www.hardmagnum.com 1/3 cup apple sauce all mixed up is how I start most days (adding a bit of cinnamon to the mix, an extra yummy taste)
  • Once a week I usually cut up a huge Tupperware https://www.starfrit.com/en/lock-lock-easy-match-18-piece-set container of veggies to snack on at any moment (celery, radishes, mushrooms, carrots, cucumber)
  • Too add to my veggies I typically use half my plain greek yogurt and create a veggie dip out of it by simply using a http://www.oh-my-spice.com of my choice to add to it to make a low sodium dip (Pizza flavor is my fav ) big surprise.

  • Wraps are a staple in our house usually adding chicken, turkey or some sort of mixed bean medley to them. Mixed Bean wrap  I will mix a can of lentils and black beans along with around 8 tbsp. of sweet chilli sauce along with  a few cut veggies. Heat it up and roll it in a wrap! Delicious !!!

Cute looks for Quarantine…

Cute from Quarantine…

Just trying to make the most of what’s going on… I know for everyone right now its a very weird time in the world. A very unsettling time that unfortunately we don’t quite know how the actual out come will be, just keep praying that this will all end sooner than later!  Lets do our part and stay  at home and flaten the curve on this!! A huge massive thank you to all the health care worker out there!! My biggest hugs to you!!!

I  am house bound as most people are right now. Unfortunately not working my day job as a medical esthetician  shut down, my CannonBalls have not been in production (I’ll write another blog on this soon explaining why) And all fitness show that I had posing clients for are currently up in the air or cancelled due to the state of everything. So for the next while I can focus on my baking/ healthy recipes, my blog, updating my site  and everything else that I have been putting off lol! So I guess that’s a good thing right?!!

When we able to get back to life and go out to restaurants or a night out I know i’ll what i’ll be wearing ! Lets talk about the trends for Spring/Summer 2020

I have read and watched so many fashion blogs and makeup videos and the look for 2020 is the look of an episode of That ’70s Show,” Yep from flared pants , to white eye liner to the good old cardigan sweater, all things 70’s are back yet again!

I made my dad send a few cool old shots of my mom back in the day early modelling skills and outfits. Funny I wish she would have just kept all her clothes cause man they are high fashion now ! Lol! Let this be a lesson to you if you have kids keep your clothes!!

Boyfriend jackets are super popular and super cute this season. A easy outfit to piece together too! Again bigger the flare the better! Skinny light colour jeans are a thing of the past however the dark skinny denim is still a go.

You can’t participate in the ’70s trend without at least a little something suede.  Fringe jackets made their triumphant return to the ready-to-wear scene.

Floral patterns, dresses with open neck lines and fresh face makeup is super on trend. Slip dresses are nothing new, and by now you probably own at least three in various colors, but this spring, they are big in the fashion world.

Just a few of my observations for this spring fashion trends. However to me fashion is what ever you feel like a rock-star in no matter what trend its on or not on!

2020 Where you at?!!!

I still cannot believe that we are a month into 2020 where does time go?

My husband and I are back from our 5 1/2 week holiday to California and definitely it was the best trip we’ve ever had together! I don’t think we’ve laughed that hard in so long and just had a fun time being together and riding our motorcycles

We try and do this every year as we’re both so busy during the year and don’t get a lot of quality time together so when we actually do spend the time,I definitely cherish it.

As always http://www.amiclubwear.comhad me decked out to the nines! I recently just got back from Los Angeles a quick five day trip with Magnum to the LA fitness Expo

It was awesome getting to see the latest and greatest in fitness for 2020 I cannot believe how much the vegan train is very apparent! Everywhere I looked there was vegan protein, protein blend food, burgers donuts you name it

I am definitely not opposed to vegan whatsoever I am actually incorporating more and more meat free meals. I don’t actually eat beef at all, rarely pork and will not touch the lamb to save my life.

I mainly cook us chicken and fish As our protein sources. But who knows that could change too lol

2020 means change for me I am finally finishing my personal training as I’m going to gear Up to be doing more online with my Posing and incorporating my personal training. It’s been years in the making and I’m finally decided that is one of my biggest goals this year. Not only will I have the Posing and Fitness I will also have the Skin side of it as I want to create my own Skin Health 180 transformations.

Not only that, I’ve got some huge opportunities coming up with my Cannonballs! an endeavour I did not think it would take off as it has been I’m sold out of products as it stands right now and I’m in the making of re-branding and sourcing out different options

If you follow me you’ll see you soon what companies are wanting to take it as well as I’ll be building more of the brand online

So 2020 will definitely is ramping up quick

I hope your 2020 is started off with a bang as well! Thank you everyone that follows my journey I truly do appreciate it! Big hugs chat soon Heidi
